Porthchapel is a must-go-to beach for anyone on a Cornish vacation. It's south facing orientation and high towering cliffs means that it can give a welcome break from the prevailing south westerly winds that can often batter the coasts of Kernow. Access can be difficult and requires a certain level of climbing finesse but is manageable for most able-bodied explorers.
No lifegaurds.
Dogs friendly (October to Easter).
Directions: Parking can be found in a field next to the church, then it's a short walk down to the beach.
